ALAMO CITY CHURCH

Alamo City Church is a collection of Believers and Followers of Jesus who form both a local church body in San Antonio, Texas and a national church body through our broadcasts to our online family, led by Senior Pastor David Walker. Established in 1987, Alamo City Church is a unique congregation of people from various walks of life & backgrounds who have been deeply affected by the mercy of Jesus, and who enjoy a multi-racial fellowship that extends far beyond the city limits of San Antonio. We are a group of people who believe Jesus is still radically saving and healing people’s hearts, restoring relationships, and empowering His children through the power of the Holy Spirit to do incredible things- far beyond what they could ever do on their own.

PASTOR DAVID WALKER

Pastor David Walker is the Senior Pastor of Alamo City Church located in San Antonio, Texas. Fiercely devoted to following Jesus above all else, Pastor Walker teaches from the absolute authority of Scripture, and preaches in a passionate and genuine way that connects deeply with people from all backgrounds. With a twinkle in his eye, Pastor Walker loves to preach on the great adventure of following the real Jesus and seeing His mighty power at work in our hearts and in the things we face every day.

He is husband to Shirley, Father to 3 children, and Grandfather to 4 grandsons, and one granddaughter. Pastor Walker is an avid outdoorsman, enjoys growing trophy whitetail deer, loves the wildness of Montana, and cherishes time with his family. 

Pastor David Walker holds Master of Theology and Doctor of Ministry Degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and has been in ministry for almost 5 decades.

ALAMO CITY WORSHIP COLLECTIVE

Alamo City was born over 35 years ago out of a deep desire and conviction to know freedom in worship. The power of praise is a landmark for the Alamo City family and culture. Rather than just one worship Pastor, we have several anointed Worship Leaders as a part of our Worship Collective that lead us into His presence each week. 

You’ll find a beautiful, consistent mixture of 
newer worship songs, hymns, 
and familiar favorites each Sunday.

Josh Cavazos is our Music Director, and he leads one of the finest collections of musicians in the city from his keys. 

More than anything- our goal, our steadfast pursuit, is to be in His presence and to engage in WORSHIP, not just music, each and every week.

Music is entertaining, but when we individually and collectively worship JESUS - things change!
